Burhan Nas, who is currently held in Malatya Prison, remains in solitary confinement despite having an intellectual disability. According to an official report issued by the Guidance and Research Center, he has a mild level of intellectual impairment and requires support in self-care and daily living skills. Nevertheless, the court did not take this assessment into account when evaluating his criminal responsibility and sentenced him to aggravated life imprisonment. He has been held in solitary confinement for two years. His family and loved ones report that his condition is deteriorating with each passing day, noting that he is unable to meet even his basic needs and should be released.
