Case Summary
Yusuf Dost, who is held in Mardin Type E Closed Penal Institution, continues to be kept in prison despite being seriously ill and unable to meet his basic needs on his own. Brought to the parliamentary agenda by a DEM Party deputy, Dost was arrested in 2014 and released in 2023. Upon the approval of his sentence in February 2025, he was re-incarcerated. He can only move with two crutches. In addition, he suffers from serious psychological disorders due to torture and ill-treatment he experienced in the past.1
