Prisoners in Edirne L-Type Prison are struggling with sewage overflow and foul odors in their wards. A sewage system failure occurred in the prison, and due to ongoing water cuts, the smell could not be eliminated. The lack of hygiene in the wards poses serious health risks, raising even greater concern for children who stay in prison with their mothers. Water cuts lasted up to 15 hours, preventing sufficient cleaning in the wards. Prison administration failed to intervene in time. The situation is becoming increasingly difficult for the inmates.¹
