Case Summary

Fikri Toğluk, a seriously ill prisoner who spent approximately 29 years in prison, was released from Diyarbakır High-Security Prison No. 1 on September 11, 2025, following a report stating that he could not remain in prison due to his health condition. After being summoned to the police for questioning, he was re-arrested and transferred to Diyarbakır High-Security Prison No. 2, following a new report issued by the Forensic Medicine Institution on March 2, 2026, stating that he can remain in prison. Concerns remain regarding the prisoner’s health, and his family and relatives are awaiting his release as soon as possible.
