Mehmet Çellik, who is held in Yozgat Prison, has not been released despite completing the 30-year term of his sentence. His conditional release was once again rejected following an evaluation by the Prison Administration and Observation Board. Çellik, who was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1992, first had his release postponed on 21 December 2023. This decision was followed by further postponements on 28 March 2024, 11 July 2024, 16 October 2024, and 11 April 2025.
